In for a Pound

poundI have never posted a poem by Ezra Pound here, though he is an important figure in American poetry with a life and an impact too complex to report here. You can look him up. Here’s a little taste:

And the days are not full enough

And the days are not full enough
And the nights are not full enough
And life slips by like a field mouse
Not shaking the grass.
